I will talk about Elden Ring Bandit Build and how you can use the best weapons in the game to your advantage. Elden Ring has been all the talk on the internet. Thousands of players are dominating the game with different builds, skills, incantations, talismans, and even the strongest of weapons. We have plenty of other guides on the best builds, weapons, and keepsakes for you to check out. We will also be talking about the Arcane Build that you can use in Elden Ring as a beginner.
Key Takeaways
- Bandit Class provides an agile character that has excellent dodging skills, good blood loss ability, and melee attacks.
- The best stats of the Bandit Class include Arcane, Dexterity, and Mind.
- In the case of weapons, the Great Knife leads the way because of its Quick Step, dodge, and Thrust Attack ability. The Shortbow comes with a Barrage Skill that allows shooting three arrows at a time.
- Reduvia Dagger complements the Great Knife as both have a blood loss buidup and it is scaled by Arcane and Dexterity.
- Flask of Wondrous Physick and Kukri are good additions to the arsenal of Bandit Class.
- Scorpian’s Stinger is a good alternative for the daggers if there is unavailability. But daggers should be preferred whenever in approach.
Here is a comparison table for the best weapons you should use for a Bandit Build:

Elden Ring Bandit Class
The Bandit class comes with a unique dodging animation that is highly beneficial, especially in the boss fight, which is why most players opt for the Bandit. The dodging animation is almost similar to the Quick Step or the Bloodhound’s Step. To top it all off, not only does the Bandit have a unique way to dodge, and he moves very well, but he also comes with a critical blood loss attack that gives you an insane amount of damage if you trigger it.
To round out the Bandit class, it even comes with a good range short bow weapon at the start. You can combine all of these; the blood loss, the arrows, dodges, and the melee attacks to complete this arcane build. It will help you throughout the game, so if you benefit from this Bandit Build, you can check out our other insane guides on this game.
Starting Attributes of Bandit class are as follows;
- Level – 5
- Vigor – 10
- Mind – 11
- Endurance – 10
- Strength – 9
- Dexterity – 13
- Intelligence – 9
- Faith – 8
- Arcane – 14
You can see that the Bandit stands out the most in Arcane, Dexterity, and Mind. The Strength is pretty round out, but the Arcane is the key, and it goes very well with all of his starting gear.
Endurance
You can level Endurance early in the game because you need that equipment load for extra defense while retaining a light load. Secondary stats are Vigor and Dexterity. After that, you can focus on Mind to increase the Focus gauge a bit. The most important thing to know is how to use combos with two daggers. The benefit of hitting combos is that you can trigger blood loss more frequently.
Great Knife
The Knife comes with reasonable skill; the Quick Step takes three FP to trigger, which is the key. So to do this, you want to have your Great Knife equipped on the right hand, by which your left hand will be empty, and when you trigger Quick Step, you can immediately do a roll and follow up with the knife attack.
When you use Quick Step and roll, you can cover a lot of distance which is going to protect you, but as you finish the dodge, you can make a thrust attack. That is what’s so great about the Great Knife because of that Quick Step, dodge followed by the thrust attack.

Another significant element about the Great Knife is that it comes with the passive effect, which causes blood loss buildup, and the Arcane stat drives it. What this does is, as you use your quick attack and your Quick Step dodge into attacks, you can proc blood loss after you have built up a certain amount of hits depending on the enemy you’re facing. So this is very useful against bosses. While you initiate this combo on a boss, take the Tree Sentinel for an example. It will do a considerable amount of damage.

Shortbow
Another great weapon for my Bandit Build in Elden Ring is the Shortbow. It comes with a Barrage skill that consumes a minimal amount of FP. The barrage shot is comparatively faster than the average shot you take from the bow.
By using it, the arrow springs itself a lot faster. It is not quite significant, but you can shoot up to three arrows while using the Barrage skill, and that does pretty good damage on the enemy. You can craft your arrows, but at the beginning, you can buy from an NPC at the Church of Elleh.
Phy | Mag | Fire | Light | Holy | Crit | Rng | Boost | |

Scaling | E | E | ||||||
Requires | 8 | 10 | ||||||

Wgt. 2.5 | Passive - |
It will cost you a few runes, but those will come by easily. You can allocate more to health less than magic in your flasks because you’ll mostly be dodging and using arrows if you need.
When you are fighting different bosses, you can change the pace of your fight and switch to either melee or long-range by using the Shortbow.
Reduvia Dagger
The Ash of War on the Dagger is excellent. You can also get the Reduvia Dagger as a starting weapon for Bandit. The Great Knife and Reduvia Dagger work perfectly together because they have a blood loss buildup that does massive damage.
Without blood loss, the damage is low, but I have other solutions for bosses immune to the blood loss. The dagger scales with both Arcane and Dexterity, which is relatively unique. The other thing is its insane weapon ash. It does an absurd amount of damage and a ton of bleed as well, which makes this dagger fantastic for keeping bleed stacks on enemies.
Phy | Mag | Fire | Light | Holy | Crit | Boost | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Attack | 79 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 110 | - |
Guard | 38 | 22 | 22 | 22 | 22 | 22 | 16 |

Requires | 5 | 13 | 13 | ||||
Daggers | Slash / Pierce | ||||||
Reduvia Blood Blade | FP 6 ( - 6) | ||||||
Wgt. 2.5 | Passive (30) |
Most importantly, you can dual-wield the dagger right at the start of the game. They’re straightforward to get, and technically you don’t need to kill anyone to obtain them. The bleed effect makes them very effective at assassinating enemies rapidly, no matter how big or small they are.
They will hit three times in rapid succession when dual-wielded, immediately stacking the weapon’s bleed effect. Still, they also have a unique ability skill that fires out an arc of blood. It is a ranged attack that players can cast rapidly to stack bleed on enemies from a distance.
Alternative to Daggers, Twinblade, Uchigatana, or Shortbow, works fantastic. I have already discussed the workings of the Shortbow and will shortly focus on the other weapons as well. The daggers are incredible for PvP if an enemy tries to run away.

Flask of Wondrous Physick
Effects | Bestows various special effects |

You will need to have a Flask of Wondrous Physick and add Opaline Bubbletear to the mix. It grants Shield that negates the first damage received. To make the most out of it, rush bosses at the beginning, do your best to apply first blood loss as soon as possible, and then switch to a more systematic approach. If you find the boss problematic for the melee range, you can switch to using the Shortbow, as it can be used efficiently against most bosses.
Kukri

Str | Dex | Arc | |
Scaling | A | S | C |

We would highly advise you to use Kukri and throwing daggers as they do a decent amount of damage and are perfect for mid-range battles. You can buy the daggers and Kukri from any merchant and stock them up as you will need them in most of your battles early in the game.
Scorpion’s Stinger
The weapon is not that great but is a perfect alternative for daggers mentioned in the “Bandit Build” guide. As far as the stats go, this one has a maximum attack power of 635, and it has an average guarded damage negation of 23.67. The weapon scales best with Dexterity and Strength, and you can use it to deal consequential damage over time. You can use it as your primary weapon as a Bandit and approach the enemy in a close-range fight to deal two to three blows in a row.
Phy | Mag | Fire | Light | Holy | Crit | Boost | |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Attack | 79 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 0 | 110 | - |

By personally using Scorpion’s Stinger, I concluded that this weapon has poor damage performance and is only better at the start of the game. Also, the enemies can destroy you without giving you a window of opportunity to use the Scorpion’s Stinger at such close range. You may try it out and see if it fits your playstyle and let us know in the comments below! Other than that, we have made a list of the best Faith Weapons you can choose from to make the best out of your build.
If you found my Bandit Build guide informative, you can head on toward our other guides of Elden Ring and make the best use of the classes, weapons, and skills. Players can use the Bandit Class for Melee and short-range fights, and to switch out the daggers, you can use the Antspur Rapier to get that Scarlet Rot effectively! This weapon’s damage is insane, but it all ends up to your preference.
Good job! Please give your positive feedback 😏
