Tears of The Kingdom features a multitude of Shrines, which are scattered throughout the game world. Above is the exact location of the JioSin Shrine; from here, we know that the JioSin Shrine is located south of the Lookout Building of Hyrule Field.
I strongly recommend starting from the exact location as shared above in the image, as it will save much of your time.
JioSin Shrine Walkthrough
The JioSin Shrine is a complex puzzle that requires strategic thinking and clever manipulation of game mechanics. The Shrine is called the Shape Transformation shrine since its puzzles revolve around shape recognition and manipulation. As per my experience, it is about learning how to use Shape Rotations to solve problems and move bodies to help you get from point A to point B.
This shrine requires Ultra Hand’s ability to overcome the challenges. You can not complete it until you own it.
Entering The Room
- Enter the room on your left, where you’ll see a large X-shaped stone and a wall with a hole similar in shape to the stone.
- The large stone consists of three rectangles joined together. Use your Ultra Hand ability to pick up the stone.3 Rectangles joined together (Captured By Me)
- While holding the stone, press and hold the L button to select the Ultra Hand, then press L again to select the X-shaped stone.
- Lift the stone into the air and position it in front of the X-shaped hole in the wall.
- Rotate the stone mid-air using the R button, aligning it with the wall, and then fix it into the hole.
- Return to the main room through the doorway.
- Pick up the large stone again and use it as a bridge. Position it so that two rectangles are vertical and one is horizontal. Aligning the Large 3 rectangular Shaped Stone (Captured By Me)
- Walk on top of the flat parts of the stone and jump onto the horizontal one to proceed.
These steps will help you progress through the JioSin Shrine puzzle.
Steps Of Solving The Puzzle
After completing it here, walk towards the door at the end of the Room. Here, you will be able to see rooms on both of your sides. You’ll also see a Chest present on a vertical surface.
- Right Room: Enter the room on your right, where you’ll encounter another irregularly shaped structure made of two cubes joined together.
- Use your Ultra Hand ability to move this odd-shaped structure through the hole in the wall.
- You’ll find yourself in a lower elevation room upon exiting the room.
- Rotate the cube structure to fit it into the lowered section, ensuring that the platform where the Chest rests has the higher side of the cube facing upward.
- Jump onto each cube to reach the platform with the Chest, and collect the Hesty Elixir from the Chest.
- Return to the Main Room:
- After collecting the elixir, return to the main room.
- Stand outside the room on your right, with a diamond-like opening separating the two areas.
- Lift the cube structure and rotate it until its shape aligns with the diamond-like opening. You may need to make a few attempts and change your viewpoint by dropping and picking up the structure again.
- Final Area of the Shrine:
- Upon revisiting the room, you’ll see a couple of revealed steps that guide you toward the final area of the Shrine.
- However, there’s an obstacle where the previously used cubes come into play.
- Orient the cubes to create zig-zag-style stairs that Link can use to access the next part of the puzzle.
In the end, climb to the top of the structure and walk towards the doorway quickly. Upon reaching the end, you will be rewarded with the Light of Blessing from JioSin Shrine, signifying your successful completion of the Shrine.
My Experience With JioSin Shrine
JioSin Shrine in Tears of the Kingdom was unique because of its requirement of Ultra Hand ability. For me, it required patience to think and solve the puzzle problem, yielding a remarkable reward. In my opinion, shrines like these add a significant level of experience to creative thinking and efficiently utilize the resources available in the game.
Certain challenges in the Game will push your combat skills to their limit. On the other hand, some puzzles will engage your mind, requiring strategic thinking of the game insights to solve the puzzles.
