With 80+ hours in Diablo 4, Shoaib is an expert on the game, and you can trust what he says about Diablo 4 because he’s played it extensively.

Diablo 4 introduces the Rogue class, which can wield close and long-range weapons. Rogues are especially handy when dealing with single-target damage and Imbue your weapons with special effects. Here, I cover Diablo 4’s best rogue build, including the active and passive skills, skill tree, and aspects. This build is best for medium-to-high-level gameplay.

Key Takeaways

  • I recommend Forceful Arrow, Penetrating Shot, Dash, Poison Trap, Poison Imbuement, and Death Trap for the Skills.
  • You should build Exposure as your Key Passive, followed by Stutter Step, Exploit, Deadly Venom, and Weapon Mastery.
  • For the Specialization, choose Combo Points to make the most of Penetrating Shot.
  • Build Emerald on the Weapon slot, Ruby on the Armor slot, and Skull on the Jewelry slot.

Why is Rogue build Recommended?

Rogues are extremely adaptable, excelling in long-range and close-range combat alike. Additionally, they offer high mobility with stealth and AoE attacks.

Specialization: Combo Points

The best Specialization for the Rogue Class is Combo Points. This generates Combo Points upon the use of a Basic Skill. Your Core Skills will also utilize these Combo Points for enhanced battle effects.

This Specialization works best with Penetrating Shot as it increases the damage you deal based on your Combo Points.

This is the recommended Paragon Board. It’s best to start with Dexterity here, as it will help you dodge melee attacks.

As you progress, focus on Dexterity more than the other stats. Willpower should have the least amount of points spent on it.

I added a Rare Glyph on this board, which can only be activated if you have met the Intelligence requirement. It grants you extra Critical Strike Damage proportional to the amount of Intelligence you build within the radius. In this build, you get a 10% boost in Critical Strike Damage.

This is just the Starting Board; if you build it entirely, you unlock more boards. After you’ve made this Starting Board, your stats should look like this:

  • Strength: 39
  • Dexterity: 70
  • Intelligence: 39
  • Willpower: 10

  • Performs excellently in close and long-range fights.
  • Decent mobility.
  • High DPS.

  • Weak defense and highly vulnerable.

My Experience With Rogue Build

The Rogue class in Diablo 4 is highly versatile, wielding both long and close-range weapons. Hence, I wanted a build that fully exploited the versatility of Rogues while still being coherent enough to make sense. My build utilizes a long-range weapon, the Bladedancer’s Warcaster. And it works exceptionally well with the Forceful Arrow and Penetrating Shot Skills.

To add to that, I also chose a few melee weapons like the Edgemaster’s Flammard and Smiting Barbed Sword. These went exquisitely well with the Weapon Mastery and Siphoning Strikes Skills. On top of that, my build was mainly geared toward maximizing Poison damage. However, you can twist the build to help better with Crowd-Control and AoE and even make it a full archer build.
