Final Fantasy 16 Orchestrion Roll Locations

Players can unlock a new hidden feature named “Orchestrion.” The feature allows you to play background music whenever you visit Cid’s Hideaway. But before that, ensure you’ve gathered all the Orchestrion Rolls in Final Fantasy 16. There are different sorts of tunes you can play.

How To Unlock Orchestrion

You won’t have any access to the Orchestrion before fulfilling some prerequisites. Once you clear the Prologue, continue progressing till you start your second main quest named “Hide, Hideaway” in the First Act. After the quest starts, follow the steps below to unlock Orchestrion in order to start playing your favorite tunes:

1. Visit Cid’s Chamber to initiate your quest.
2. Now, you’ll head to the Great Hall of the Hideway. Here, talk with Blackthorne, the Blacksmith in Final Fantasy 16.
3. Speak with Goetz, then find a man helping a passed-out man. Talk with him.
4. Head upstairs and find Tarja in the Infirmary. This will result in unlocking Side Quests and the Orchestrion itself.

Once you unlock the Orchestrion, you can start playing different tunes you’ve collected in the form of Orchestrion Music Rolls.

Here is how to do so:

1. Head to the Cid’s Hideaway in order to access the Orchestrion Menu. All your music collection will gather here.
2. Select the music you’d like to play.
3. Press X and the background music will change to your liking.

There are a total of 24 Orchestrion Rolls in Final Fantasy 16. Most of them are quite easy to obtain. Sometimes, you will unlock them by simply following the main storyline, and sometimes, they’ll be purchasable from a merchant.
