Diablo 4 Crushed Beast Bones: Location & Guide

The Crushed Beast Bones crafting material is rare, which may lead players to believe it’s a unique find for such a basic item. However, if you scavenge the right spots, you’ll have enough Crushed Beast Bones in Diablo 4 within no time.

How To Gather Crushed Beast Bones

Following are some of the best ways of gathering Crushed Beast Bones:

Kill Wild Beasts And Creatures

Killing creatures is a quick way of gathering multiple resources to craft essential items, including crushed beast bones, which beasts, animals, and werewolves drop. Though, they’re a scarce drop, and you might not collect much just from melting hordes of enemies down.

I recommend focusing on these three regions and their dungeons if you’re looking for Crushed Beast Bones as loot:

• Fractured Peaks
• Scosglen
• Dry Steppes

Ensure you clear dungeons in these regions; there is a higher chance of getting Crushed Beast Bones as an enemy drop from here than anywhere else.

Defeat Gaspar Stilbian

Another way to collect this rare resource is by taking down a relatively calm Elite Boss in Scosglen known as Gaspar Stilbian. You get 5x Crushed Beast Bones upon defeating him. 

Here is the exact location of Gaspar Stilbian in Scosglen:

1. Head North from Kyovashad.
2. Keep moving till you enter Scosglen.
3. Here, you need to enter the Highland Winds area in the Southeastern part of Scosglen.
4. If you’ve unlocked the Under The Fat Goose Inn waypoint, travel exactly East.
5. You will soon enter “The Scar.”
6. Now look around for Gaspar Stilbian in this small area. He is next to a Whispering Pine, along with the Altar of Lilith.

Lastly, take him down and get 5x Crushed Beast Bones. I recommend this method if you’re on a lower level, as it’s not a demanding boss to take down to defeat. You can always revisit the area, and the boss will respawn for more Crushed Beast Bones farms.

Defeat Blind Odwyn

Blind Odwyn is a Unique Monster that drops Crushed Beast Bones and Blind Man’s Bell upon defeat. It will give you a hard time since he won’t be standing and taking damage as Gaspar Stilbian did.

Following is the location where you’ll encounter Blind Odwyn in Diablo 4:

1. Head to Scosglen, located North of Fractured Peaks.
2. Go to the Tirmair waypoint above the Under the Fat Goose Inn waypoint.
3. Travel North East from the Tirmair waypoint till you run across the Blood Vale.
4. Go to the Southern part of the Blood Vale and look for Blind Odwyn here.

Once you defeat Blind Odwyn after a battle, you gain 5x Crushed Beast Bones.

Defeat Garbhan Ennai

Another Elite Monster, known as the Butcher of Cerrigar, or Garbhan Ennai, drops some rare Crushed Beast Bones upon defeat. I suggest you become fully prepared before facing this monster. To track it down, follow these steps:

1. Head to Scosglen, north of the Fractured Peaks.
2. Now, travel to the Harrowfields. If you haven’t discovered this area, head west from the Under the Goose Inn waypoint.
3. Here, you will encounter the beast, the Butcher of Cerrigar, take him down, and obtain some rare bones.

Defeat Lord Eonan

Our last Unique Monster is Lord Eonan, who gives off 5x Crushed Beast Bones once you successfully take it down. The monster also drops a guaranteed Blood-cursed band, which may interest you. Here is the exact location of Lord Eonan:

1. Go to the Scosglen region.
2. From here, head all the way Southwest.
3. You will enter the Deep Forest.
4. You can also fast-travel to the Tur Dulra waypoint above the monster spawn.
5. Now, head south till you encounter the beast. Take it down and gain your reward.

How To Use Crushed Beast Bones

While progressing through the main story, you’ll soon enough get tasked to upgrade your Healing Potion at the Alchemist, and it requires Crushed Beast Bones as one of the many ingredients.

In addition, you can only upgrade at level 30 or above, and once there, you need a handful of specific items to boost the Healing Potion, which includes:

• 20x Gallowvine
• 10x Biteberry
• 5x Crushed Beast Bones

This will reward you with a Light Healing Potion, a must-have item in sticky situations. Head to the Alchemist, available in Kyovashad, and choose Light Healing Potion to craft and carry as many as you’d like.

Are Crushed Bones Worth It?

Killing monsters and facing Bosses doesn’t seem that tough in the early game, but you’ll soon realize how hard it is without a healing potion. So, to upgrade your Healing properties further, Crushed Bones are highly recommended. In my experience, it’s best to farm it from the Gaspar Stilbian if you are at a low level or Lord Eonan at night.
