Striker

Recommended For: Best Overall SMG

Striker is topping my list of best SMGs due to being so good at the moment that it’s among the Meta weapons for Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3. Striker has a huge 60-round mag with almost no recoil with right attachments and a great damage output that dominates every single match.

The characteristics that set it apart are that you can control it conveniently even as a beginner and can deal significant damage. You can make it more lethal with a classy loadout, such as adding a Striker Recon Long Barrel, which enables it to perform flawlessly at mid-range adding extra distance for your access and also provide the bullet velocity.

With FSS Titan Stock, you can get good control of recoil and aim stability and can have great mid-range fights due to better precision.

FFS Hurricane

Recommended For: Best Warzone 2 SMG

Here you go with another one: FSS Hurricane, which has also gained popularity among players over the years and is still maintaining it. This weapon proves to be outstanding when it comes to ammo capacity, as FSS Hurricane offers a large magazine, So you don’t have to worry about running out of ammo during intense combats.

Besides this, it offers excellent stability, and to enhance the vertical and horizontal recoil, you can go for the FTAC Castle Comp Muzzle.

Furthermore, the FSS Cannonade 16″ Barrel reduces the gun’s recoil and improves the accuracy, damage range, bullet velocity, and hip fire precision. In the end, I would say that the right attachments and equipment can make FSS Hurricane unstoppable. Hurricane can be accessible if you install the Warzone 2 in your Call of Duty MW 3 setup and soon it will be available in other game modes as well.

Lachmann Sub

Recommended For: Best Mid-Range SMG

The Lachmann Sub is again in Modern Warfare 3 and is already giving tough competition to other SMGs in-game and has secured its place in the list of top 5 submachine guns.  It is mainly praised due to the amazing rate of fire and high mobility.

It has a slight recoil and can be your best buddy during close-quarter encounters. If you opt for the Lachmann Sub, then you should focus on improving the ads, damage range, and speed. The laser VLK LZR 7MW enhances the speed of ads, sprint to fire, and aiming stability.

The addition of other attachments and perks can make it all set for fiery combat.

WPS Swarm

The WPS Swarm has made the entry in MW3 with a compact design and can fit perfectly in your hands. Well, it is considered the best SMG not only due to its design but also for its lower time-to-kill and impressive firing rate.

From the set of new guns in the game, you must try out this weapon, and I am sure you won’t be disappointed at all. Once you learn the art of using this gun, then it will be enough to haunt your opponents.

It is also great for aggressive playstyle and can deal fine damage at close-quarter combats. Add up the suppressor: Shadowstrike Suppressor S if you don’t want radar to detect you. Also, for better recoil control, you can equip FSS Fortress Heavy Stock.

AMR9

The final best SMG I am suggesting here is the AMR9. It is suitable for mid and close-range combats and is known for standing against the assault rifles in MW3. This versatile weapon holds a lot of potential, and it can be unlocked by adding key attachments.

This fully automatic gun makes your close-range encounters thrill and worthy, and you will surely love using it. With the AMR9 Commando Pro Barrel, you can enhance the speed of ads, movement, and sprint of fire, and it will also improve mobility.

The best ammunition for AMR9 is a 9 mm high grain that comes in handy while dealing with Assault rifles.

Ending Thoughts

I’m close to a mid-range player in FPS shooters and I prefer to hip-fire so SMGs are a must for me. I’ve grinded FSS Hurricane in Modern Warfare 2, Warzone, and Warzone 2, until the new Striker became available and right now I can tell it’s the most powerful SMG game has to offer due to – Huge Mag size, Fastest time to kill, and massive damage to even perform a squad wipe.
