Armored Core 6 allows players to customize their AC machines by changing various parts. A few of them are available as you progress through the game for free, while you must purchase others. There are several options for each section of the machine, and this guide covers the best ones you should get first to make a suitable early build.
Key Takeaways
- You can customize 12 sections of the AC machines to add new parts to improve its performance.
- Considering their massive firepower, the MA-J-200 RANSETSU-RF (Burst Rifle) and DF-BA-06 XUAN-GE (Bazooka) are the best options for the Arms.
- SI-24: SU-Q5 (Pulse Shield) and BML-G1/P03VTC-08 (Vertical Missile Launcher) work well as the Back Units covering defenses and ranged combats.
- You can choose a blend of MELANDER, NACHTREIHER, or TIAN-QIANG parts for your AC machine’s Head, Core, Arms, and Legs to adjust your AP and weight stats according to your build.
- ALULA/21E is a fine choice for Booster initially, as it comes for free and gives satisfactory thrust output.
- DF-GN-06 Ming-Tang Generator has appropriate EN capacity with speedy EN recovery.
- You can go for FCS-G2/P05 for the FCS Module, as it covers all aspects pretty well compared to the other alternatives.
Right Arm
The Arms support your weapons, mostly AR Rifles, Swords, or Bazookas. Initially, you should focus on a decent power and weight management combo, as heavy-hitting guns can overload your mech.
Part | Attack Power | Impact | Total Rounds | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
MA-J-200 RANSETSU-RF (Brust Rifle) | 194 | 245 | 375 | 4210 | 158 | Mission – 2 (105,000 COAM) |
LR-036 CURTIS (Linear Rifle) | 112 | 135 | 420 | 4150 | 289 | Beginner Training 2: Combat Fundamentals (Free) |
HG-003 COQUILLET (Handgun) | 166 | 235 | 105 | 1200 | 122 | Mission – 2 (35,000 COAM) |
Best Early Right Arm Parts
The Right Arm will be one of your primary weapons; hence, equipping it with the best part of having effective DPS is necessary. The MA-J-200 RANSETSU-RF (Burst Rifle) is undoubtedly the ideal gun for this. It features high damage on close or mid-ranges without compromising other aspects.
If you are looking for a free option in the same category, I recommend LR-036 CURTIS, which will do the work for you with a little less damage capability.
Another gun that will be suitable is HG-003 COQUILLET, but it works best at close range, so you need to have something else to take care of distant enemies. This one is a little less costly as well.

Left Arm
Part | Attack Power | Impact | Total Rounds | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
HI-32: BU-TT/A (Pulse Blade) | 963 | 710 | 2 Hits | 1800 | 213 | Beginning (Free) |
Vvc-770LB (Laser Blade) | 1630 | 1100 | 1 Hit | 2680 | 365 | Mission – 8 (121,000 COAM) |
DF-BA-06 XUAN-GE (Bazooka) | 895 | 980 | 78 | 5480 | 240 | Mission – 2 (70,000 COAM) |
Vvc-760PR (Plasma Rifle) | 936 | 384 | 90 | 3330 | 490 | Mission – 6, 7 (202,000 COAM) |
Best Early Left Arm Parts
Your next weapon slot will be the Left Arm, and DF-BA-06 XUAN-GE here will let you dominate the battlefield with its decent AOE damage. It is a bazooka, capable of destroying almost everything, and unlike the others, it doesn’t require a charge-up to deal high damage. The only drawback is the limited ammo, and it’s only effective at a close range.
In case you want to play with melee weapons, then HI-32: BU-TT/A and Vvc-770LB are great. However, one comes for free and is available from the beginning, while the other is available later with a price and better damage stats. The Vvc-760PR plasma rifle is also there, and it’s worth paying its price, considering the Attack Power you get for mid-range fights.
Right Back
Part | Attack Power | Impact | Total Rounds | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Vvc-70VPM (Plasma Missile Launcher) | 760 | 384 | 240 | 3760 | 268 | Mission – 6, 7 (96,000 COAM) |
BML-G1/P03VTC-08 (Verticle Missle Launcher) | 124×8 | 89×8 | 224 | 3920 | 380 | Mission – 6, 7 (112,000 COAM) |
BML-G1/P31DUO-02 (Dual Missile Launcher) | 122×4 | 76×4 | 124 | 1900 | 182 | Mission – 2 (144,000 COAM) |
Best Early Right Back Parts
For the back units, you will focus on a ranged firearm, mostly missile launchers. The BML-G1/P31DUO-02 is a Dual Missile Launcher, best for lightweight builds. It shoots a total of 4 projectiles at a single target, or it can even multi-lock up to 4 targets. The BML-G1/P03VTC-08 is of the same type, releasing 8 projectiles at once capable of multi-lock at the cost of heavy weight.
A different alternative to these is the Plasma Missle Launcher, Vvc-70VPM plasma projectiles targeting one or up to 5 enemies with multi-lock. It has an AOE damage and makes building up stagger on enemies easier. Consequently, it’s a valuable asset in boss fights.
Left Back
Part | Attack Power / Damage Mitigation | Impact / Impact Dampening | Total Rounds / Deployment Range | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
SI-24: SU-Q5 (Pulse Shield) | 45 | 25 | 180 | 2010 | 220 | Mission – 2 (43,000 COAM) |
BML-G1/P31DUO-02 (Dual Missile Launcher) | 122×4 | 76×4 | 124 | 1900 | 182 | Mission – 2 (144,000 COAM) |
VP-60LCS (Laser Canon) | 925 | 500 | 32 | 5190 | 683 | Mission – 6, 7 (147,000 COAM) |
Best Early Left Back Parts
You can add a Shield, Laser Canon, or another Missile Launcher to complement the Right Back units. Initially, the SI-24: SU-Q5 Pulse Shield will suit your close-quarter combat builds better to minimize the damage when getting closer to enemies. It will be enough if you feel you should have a defensive option.
VP-60LCS works similarly to a Bazooka, only that it shoots a Laser and requires a charge-up time to deal more damage. It has low ammo, which may be a drawback, but mainly, its usage will be limited to fighting bosses to increase the stagger or create havoc on their weak spots. Additionally, you can add BML-G1/P31DUO-02 twice to have better-ranged access or use it with some other launcher in your right-back unit.
Head
Part | AP | Attitude Stability | System Recovery | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
HD-012 MELANDER C3 | 970 | 416 | 95 | 3300 | 165 | Mission – 1 Free |
NACHTREIHER/44E | 590 | 422 | 92 | 2320 | 210 | Mission – 2 (84,000 COAM) |
Best Early Head Parts
The Head is the first part that directly targets your AP and system recovery. Both parts we have here have good system recovery values, but the major difference comes in AP and weight stats. If you are going for a lightweight build with good mobility, your ideal selection will be NACHTREIHER/44E, which sacrifices AP for the lower weight.
On the contrary, HD-012 MELANDER C3 focuses more on AP than weight, making it heavier. Although the gap is small here, we suggest you go for this option, compromising the weight and adjusting it somewhere else in the other parts.
Core
Part | AP | Attitude Stability | Generator Output Adj. | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
BD-011 MELANDER | 3230 | 458 | 105 | 15800 | 304 | Mission – 2 (195,000 COAM) |
DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG | 4100 | 629 | 114 | 20650 | 388 | Mission – 2 (390,000 COAM) |
NACHTREIHER/40E | 2630 | 349 | 84 | 9820 | 330 | Mission – 2 (275,000 COAM) |
Best Early Core Parts
For the core, three parts are categorized on their AP and weight distributions. As the core is one of the places that affects weight the most, you should choose the one that suits your build. Starting with the lightest here, NACHTREIHER/40E weighs low but has the lowest AP; choose this one only if you are desperate for lightweight builds.
The best possible but expensive one is DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG because sacrificing weight here will benefit the AP boost you get in exchange. However, BD-011 MELANDER is there with a balance of AP and weight that both of the others give.
It will do fine for the starting missions, and if you face any difficulty, you can invest in DF-BD-08 TIAN-QIANG later.
Arms
Part | AP | Arms Load Limit | Firearms Specialization | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
AR-011 MELANDER | 2260 | 15100 | 100 | 13650 | 265 | Mission – 2 (95,000 COAM) |
DF-AR-08 TIAN-QIANG | 2480 | 19500 | 92 | 20020 | 295 | Mission – 2 (200,000 COAM) |
NACHTREIHER/46E | 1860 | 12730 | 160 | 11420 | 302 | Mission – 2 (138,000 COAM) |
Best Early Arms Parts
We get arm parts similar to the Core, with three different weight choices. But, an additional aspect is the Arms Load Limit, which characterizes your weapon loadout. Therefore, the overall stats show that AR-011 MELANDER is perfect, with decent values in AP, Arms Load Limit, and Weight.
The lightest Arm is NACHTREIHER/46E, and you can get this if you feel it easy to trade off a little AP for weight. For a tank build, DF-AR-08 TIAN-QIANG comes on top with the highest AP and Arms Load Limit to use Heavy Firearms at the cost of immense weight.
Legs
Part | AP | Arms Load Limit | Firearms Specialization | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
AR-011 MELANDER | 2260 | 15100 | 100 | 13650 | 265 | Mission – 2 (95,000 COAM) |
DF-AR-08 TIAN-QIANG | 2480 | 19500 | 92 | 20020 | 295 | Mission – 2 (200,000 COAM) |
NACHTREIHER/46E | 1860 | 12730 | 160 | 11420 | 302 | Mission – 2 (138,000 COAM) |
Best Early Legs Parts
The Legs are the most customizable body limb of an AC machine due to the diverse choices you get here. You can make a complete Tank Build using LG-022T BORNEMISSZA with an exceptionally high value of each stat at the cost of weight, or go with the lightest NACHTREIHER/42E.
The in-between options you can get are LG-011 MELANDER or DF-LG-08 TIAN-QIANG, with a minor AP difference but a huge weight and Load Limit variance.
Moreover, if you are considering stability and even better AP for a lower cost of weight, then VP-424 is perfect. With 4 legs, it will be tougher for enemies to stagger you. Additionally, you get a decent Load Limit at the cost of EN Load.
Booster
Part | Thurst | Upward Thurst | QB Thurst | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
ALULA/21E | 6668 | 4650 | 21650 | 1900 | 410 | Training Mission: Intermediate Support 1 (Free) |
BST-G2/P04 | 6001 | 4900 | 20600 | 1710 | 250 | Mission – 2 (72,000 COAM) |
Best Early Booster Parts
Boosters enable you to jump, dash, or fly, which is crucial for many scenarios you encounter in missions. Hence, the first one you can get for free is ALULA/21E, which significantly boosts the overall thrust, but the EN Load is slightly higher.
BST-G2/P04 is the alternative, which comes for 72,000 COAM. The overall thrust is less, but the Upward Thrust is better for this one, which will be beneficial if you are into airborne fights. Moreover, the EN load is significantly lower.
FCS
Part | Close-Range Assist | Medium-Range Assist | Long-Range Assist | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
FC-006 ABBOT | 83 | 32 | 5 | 90 | 266 | Training Mission: Intermediate Support 1 (Free) |
FCS-G2/P05 | 45 | 80 | 26 | 100 | 232 | Mission – 8 (67,000 COAM) |
Best Early FSC Parts
The FCS module controls your aiming stability and accuracy and makes it easier to hit enemies. FC-006 ABBOT comes for free, and its stats show that it is best for close-quarter combats.
On the other hand, FCS-G2/P05 is a bit costly, but it assists better in mid-range fights, with a decent capability for close or long-range battles.
Generator
Part | EN Capacity | EN Recharge | Supply Recovery | Weight | EN Load | Unlocked at |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
VP-20S | 2500 | 833 | 434 | 3800 | 3200 | Training Mission: Intermediate Support 1 (Free) |
DF-GN-06 Ming-Tang | 2900 | 1250 | 666 | 6320 | 3160 | Mission – 8 (170,000 COAM) |
Best Early Generator Parts
Generators are the source of the EN in your AC machine, which is a critical function of the mech. Hence, a good generator allows you to put maximum resources into your mech to make it a killing machine. VP-20S is much lighter but gives lower EN capacity and a corresponding lower recharge and recovery capability.
DF-GN-06 Ming-Tang is the best part in this regard, as it gives sufficient EN capacity with a speedy recovery. However, the weight may become a problem.
