This companion is a wood Elf Druid who has a good nature and a strong will. He is head of Emerald Enclave Druid Grove and holds a significant place in Baldur Gate 3. Haslin has an influencing role throughout the story and possesses unique abilities.

The impressive fact about Druid class characters is that nature is the source of their power, and they are deeply connected to it. He is unique as he can shape-shift or transform, and this can give him a great edge while having combat.

However, you must stay careful as doing something against Halsin’s will can cause him a turn-off from your side and make him lose his trust. The information regarding his skills and equipment is not currently available.

How To Get

Head to the Shattered Sanctum in Goblin Camp to meet Halsin. To recruit him, you have to complete the quest: “Save the Refugees,” in which you will have to free him and fight against three leaders of the camp.

Jaheira

Jaheira is another main companion who has made a comeback in Baldur Gate 3 with an interesting quest and storyline. She has a determined personality and plays a guiding role. Her character is more evolved now, which will definitely be worth exploring.

How To Get

You get the opportunity to recruit Jaheira in Act ll. In this Act, you will get to the “Last Light Inn,” after your arrival at the inn, head to Jaheira to have conversations. By listening to her stories attentively, you can give a good signal that may help you in building a relationship with her.

As the game moves forward, she will ask for your assistance in battle at the Moon Towers. Then at Moon Towers, you will get to interact with her again, and you will be given some choices to make. One of the suggested choices you should make is to ask her to be a companion,

So she may get protected from getting killed. Afterward, you will encounter Ketheric Thorm, and she will help in this battle. Don’t let her die during the battle, and later you can recruit her.

My Thoughts On Companions

The companions in Baldur Gate 3 can be of great help when it comes to combat. Now you have details of each of them, so choose your companion wisely who may match your interest. All of them offer you a variety of experiences which makes the game more fun and exciting. Learn about their past and get to know each companion in a comprehensive way.

To be honest, I myself, liked some companions more than others, if you’d like to see which companions we found to be the best, check out our guide here. Keep in mind, that you can only keep 3 companions with you during your journey. I personally stuck with Karlach, Astarion, and Shadowheart.

See which companions suit your playstyle best and experiment till you find the best fit. The game itself encourages that. Each companion offers a fresh perspective, gameplay styles, and unique conversations.
