North Ford Bog
There are three vaults to be found in North Ford Bog.
San Bakar’s Tower Vault 1
First, go to San Bakar’s Tower. Then, head East until you come across the Merlin Trial. You will identify it easily as it is quite close to the Inferi Lair spot. Now, look for a giant locked door near this place. You’ll find the treasure vault here. Use Alohomora II on the lock to open it and enter inside.
San Bakar’s Tower Vault 2
There is another vault by the giant bridge. First, locate the San Bakar’s Tower Floo Flame. From there, go West, drop down from the rocks, and look for the bridge. The treasure vault is hidden behind the wooden gate.
You’ll need to break down the gate using Confringo. Go inside the gate and then look for the arrow blocks. First, look for a pattern that shows what the final stack should look like. Then, using the levitation spell Wingardium Leviosa, lift the blocks and stack them in correspondence to the patterns. You’ll find the Dark Herbologist Hat here.
East North Ford Bog Vault
Go to the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame and then travel West, past the Leopolde Babcocke shop. If you come across the Inferi, you’ve gone too far. Travel back a bit.
For this vault, you’ll need to find a spell cube using Revelio. Then, using Accio (or the levitation spell), place it on top of the plate in front of the treasure vault. You’ll see a fire symbol on this spell cube. This means that you must use the Incendio spell. Use it and the vault will open. You’ll find Teal Fingerless Gloves here.
Forbidden Forest
There are three vaults to be found in the Forbidden Forest.
San Bakar’s Tower Vault 1
If you’re at San Bakar’s Tower, head Southwest into the Forbidden Forest until you find a pile of rocks. Simply use Depulso to break the rubble apart and enter the treasure vault door. You’ll find the Purple Dragon-Eyed Spectacles here.
Purple Toad Den Vault
The next treasure vault you can find here is by the Purple Toad Den in the Forbidden Forest. To be more specific, you can find the Purple Toad Den West of the West Forbidden Forest Floo Flame.
Once you go there, there will be a door, you’ll need to use Accio on the door to open it. Then, you will see a few pots blocking off the vault. Cast Confringo or Incendio to break the pots and access the vault.
Pitt-Upon-Ford Vault
Another treasure vault that you can find in the Forbidden Forest is, quite fortunately, the easiest one to find here. First, go to the Pitt-Upon-Ford Floo Flame. Then, head Southwest from here. Head on inside to acquire the treasure chest. You’ll find Mormaer Robes here.
Hogsmeade Valley
Then there’s Hogsmeade Valley, which has 5 treasure vaults.
Upper Hogsfield Floo Flame Vault 1
There are two vaults to be found near the Upper Hogsfield Floo Flame. The first vault can be found when you go West from the Floo Flame. You will find a treasure vault with a lock on it. Cast Alohomora III to break the lock, enter the vault, and take the loot: a Tartan Vest School Uniform.
Upper Hogsfield Floo Flame Vault 2
The second vault near the Upper Hogsfield Floo Flame is also just West of the Flame. However, for this, you must go down the hill that leads to the Forbidden Forest. Here, you’ll find a treasure vault with a lock on it. Use Alhomora I to break open the lock and collect your treasure chest. Here, you’ll find a Tattered Top Hat.
Upper Hogsfield Floo Flame Vault 3
The third vault here can be found Northeast of the Upper Hogsfield Floo Flame. However, you’ll need to climb up the cliff for this, which can make the task a tad bit tedious. Nevertheless, you’ll need to use the Disillusionment spell on the Eye Door.
East North Ford Bog Vault
For this, you’ll need to travel to the East North Ford Bog Floo Flame and then go East until you reach the end of the map. The vault is nearby. Once you find it, you will realize that the puzzle requires a spell cube.
Grab the spell cube with Accio and then put it onto the platform in front of the vault door. Then, use Incendio on the cube to activate it and open the door.
Falbarton Castle Floo Flame Vault
If you have found the Falbarton Castle Floo Flame, finding this vault should be easy. Simply go West from the Floo Flame and look for the treasure vault with a lock on it. You’ll need to cast the Alohomora II incantation on the lock to unlock it and get the treasure chest inside with the Solar Protection Goggles.
South Hogwarts
South Hogwarts has 8 treasure vaults for you to discover.
Aranshire Vault 1
From the Aranshire Floo Flame, move Southeast. The treasure vault will be close to a road on the cliffs. Unfortunately, you’ll need a broom to get here. Open the door using Alohomora II. The chest is right there with Green Striped Gloves.
Aranshire Vault 2
Start from the Aranshire Floo Flame and work your way North. You’ll need to move slightly West too. The vault is directly under the giant bridge. It requires Alohomora II to open. Then, follow the tiny tornado until it drops a chest.
Aranshire Vault 3
For this vault, start from the Aranshire Floo Flame and go West, traveling slightly South until you reach the coast. Then, follow the coast South until you find a diving spot.
When you come back up after diving, you will see a door in front of you. You will need to use Accio on the block in the wall on the left-hand cliffs. This will open the door. Inside you’ll find Outland Dueling Gloves and a Pinstripe Scarf.
Aranshire Vault 4
From the Aranshire Floo Flame, travel due South. Keep going South until you reach a small cove. This is the door for the vault. However, it requires a spell cube. You’ll need to go to the nearest road and cast Revelio to find the cube. Then, using Accio, place the cube onto the platform in front of the door and cast Incendio on it to open the door.
Lower Hogsfield Vault 1
The first vault that can be found close to the Lower Hogsfield Floo Flame is just North of this Floo Flame. Follow the coast of Hogwarts Lake North until you come across the vault. Lower Hogsfield Vault 2
The next vault in this location can be found just West of Lower Hogsfield, though you’ll need to move South a bit. First, look for a wooden box, place it under the entrance, and, using Levioso, make it hover.
Then, look for a spell cube. Place it onto the platform in front of the door using Accio or Wingardium Leviosa. Then, use Incendio on it and jump onto the wooden block and enter the vault. It will contain a Fringed House Scarf.
Lower Hogsfield Vault 3

Pull it with Accio. You’ll notice the tiles on the ground shifting with it. Stand on the stairs to the altar and pull the block towards yourself with Accio. Now, step down from the stoors and look at the cavity below them. The chest should be there, containing a Tassled Kufi.
North Hogwarts
There are six treasure vaults to be found in North Hogwarts.

The first treasure vault here is directly northeast of the Korrow Ruins Floo Flame. Luckily, it’s the easiest to find as not only is the location extremely easy to navigate, but the treasure has no puzzle to it.
Instead, you will find a troll that you can simply ignore and head inside the vault. The treasure chest will be right there. It will contain Teal Fingerless Gloves.
Jackdaw’s Tomb Floo Flame Vault 1
If you have already located Jackdaw’s Tomb Floo Flame, you just need to head Southwest from here to find the treasure vault. If not, you’ll first need to find Richard Jackdaw outside the Forbidden Forest and follow him. Then, you’ll need to go deeper into the woods and find the Jackdaw’s Tomb Floo Flame.
Go southwest from here until you find the treasure vault. Unfortunately, it’s covered by spider webs. Hence, you’ll need to use Incendio on the web to burn them away. Then, enter the vault and acquire the chest. You will receive the Orange Eye of Newt Goggles.
Jackdaw’s Tomb Floo Flame Vault 2
For this vault, go Southwest from Jackdaw’s Tomb Floo Flame and stop when you hit a small body of water. If you come across the stream, you have gone too far. Retrace your steps and find the body of water with a diveable whirlpool.

Right after that, to your left, at the very edge of the cliff, you’ll find the treasure vault. It’s covered with vines. So, use Incendio to access the vault.
Clagmar Coast
There are a total of 10 Hogwarts Legacy treasure vaults to be found on Clagmar Coast.
Clagmar Castle Lake Vault
The first vault you can find in Clagmar Coast is by the Clagmar Castle Floo Flame. Specifically, you’ll need to go East from this Floo Flame and look for the lake. Don’t dive into the lake though. You’ll find the vault close to the lake.
Luckily, you’ll just need to unlock the door. Alohomora II should work just fine on the lock.
Clagmar Castle Floo Flame Vault 1
Clagmar Castle Floo Flame features 5 vaults that can be found close to it. Firstly, go Northwest from the Floo Flame. You’ll need to travel on your broom for this. Eventually, you’ll come across the vault.
The vault will be blocked by a spell cube. For the spell cube, you’ll first need to reveal it using the Revelio spell. Then, use either the Accio or Wingardium Leviosa spell to place the cube onto the relevant platform below the door. Then, simply use Levioso on the cube to unlock the door.
Now, this part is a bit trickier. Unlike other vaults, the puzzle isn’t completed when entering the vault. Instead, you’ll need to reveal a few blocks on the wall with the help of Revelio. Then, use Accio to pull the blocks out. Now, you’ll finally be able to acquire the treasure chest.
Clagmar Castle Floo Flame Vault 2
Go East from the Clagmar Castle Floo Flame. The vault will be in plain sight after flying for a bit. There will be a spell cube here, much like the vault discussed above. First, use Revelio to reveal the spell cube. If you already know where it is, skip this step.
Then, grab it with Accio (or Wingardium Leviosa) and drop it down onto the platform in front of the door. Then, cast Levioso on the spell cube. The door to the vault should open.
Clagmar Castle Floo Flame Vault 3
If you go North from Clagmar Castle Floo Flame, you’ll easily find some unlit cauldrons blocking yet another treasure vault. To light up the cauldrons, simply use Incendio on the unlit cauldrons to light them up and free up the vault door.
Clagmar Castle Floo Flame Vault 4
The fourth Clagmar Castle Floo Flame vault is also found North of the Floo Flame. Simply travel North until you find the door to the vault. However, opening the vault requires you to use Accio on the large stone block. This will open the gate.
But there is a surprise here for gamers: a dead body with a note. Pick up the note. It will say “Mudblood“. Afterward, head into the vault and get the treasure chest.
Clagmar Castle Floo Flame Vault 5
The final Hogwarts Legacy treasure vault here is just West of the Floo Flame. Keep going West from the Floo Flame and you will eventually reach the door to the vault. However, it will be covered with Devil’s Snare.
Light the Devil’s Snare by using Incendio. However, your job here is not done. The Devil’s Snare still needs to be destroyed. Dodge-roll toward the plant to obliterate it. Then, you can finally reach the vault and its treasure.
Clagmar Cliff Vault
If you stay in the Western part of the Clagmar Castle Floo Flame, you’ll notice another treasure vault. This one will be close to the cliff that is just West of the Floo Flame.
However, this treasure vault requires a different technique for solving. You will find a tiny tornado right outside the entrance to the vault. Follow where the tornado is going. You’ll need to chase around the little whirlwind for quite some time before it will drop a chest. That’s the treasure chest you want to open.
Clagmar Coast Border Vault
Another vault can be found by the Clagmar Coast border. If you don’t know where the border is, first, head to the Clagmar Castle Floo Flame. Then, go Northwest from there. Keep going in this direction until you reach the Clagmar Coast border.
Next, find the treasure vault. It should be pretty easy as it’s right there in plain sight. You might need to walk along the border a bit to find it.
Specifically, you’ll be looking for a pile of rubble. Use Depulso to obliterate the rubble and walk into the entrance to the vault.
Bandit Camp Vault
If you’ve seen the bandit camp here, you should have no trouble finding the Hogwarts Legacy treasure vault. If not, stay in the Northwest part of Clagmar Castle Floo Flame. You’ll find a bandit camp along the Clagmar Coast border. Drop down from the rocks here and you’ll find a deep cave. Enter it and you’ll find the treasure chest.
Cliffs Near The Shore Vault
On Clagmar Coast, there are a few cliffs right next to the shore. To find them, first, locate the Clagmar Castle Floo Flame. Then, travel Northwest from there and look for the shore. If you can find the shore, you should have no problem finding the cliffs.
But you don’t need to climb them. Instead, you must look for the treasure vault below the cliffs. You’ll notice a spell cube here. If not, locate it with the Revelio spell and then pick it up with the Accio sell and place it in front of the vault door.
Then, use Glacius on the spell cube. This will open up the vault door. Head on over inside the vault and cast Revelio. Some blocks on the wall will show up. Use Accio to pull them out and get the treasure chest.
Cragcroftshire
Cragcroftshire has 12 Hogwarts Legacy treasure vaults to be found and scavenged.
Cragcroft Waterfall Vault
Cragcroftshire features some breathtaking waterfall scenes. As such, it only makes sense to hide a treasure vault there. First, travel to the Cragcroft Shore Floo Flame. Then, go South from here until you come across the waterfall (trust me, you can’t miss it).
From the waterfall, look to your left and you should see a treasure vault door with a spell cube nearby. Simply grab the spell cube using the Accio spell. You can also use Wingardium Leviosa. Then, drop it onto the platform below the door to the vault. Now, cast Incendio on the block so that it activates and the treasure vault door opens.
Cragcroft Floo Flame Vault 1
There are three vaults you can find near the cliff in Cragcroftshire. To locate the cliff, simply find the Cragcroft Floo Flame. Then, go Northwest from here and look for a cliff. Considering its massive size, it’s impossible to miss.
Go to the top of the cliff and you’ll find a spell cube. Grab it using the Wingardium Leviosa spell and put it down on the platform. Then, use Incendio on it to light it up and open up the door.
However, opening the door isn’t enough. You need to head inside and look for a chair. Then, cast the Transformation spell on it and it will transform into a knight chess piece. you’ll need to levitate this piece with the levitation spell and checkmate the king. If you do this, the treasure chest will become unlocked.
Cragcroft Floo Flame 2
The second vault here can be found on a cliff just Northwest of the Cragcroft Floo Flame. This is right next to the previous vault. You’ll need to find the spell cube using Revelio and then summon the cube with Accio. The cube should be placed onto the platform in front of the door and you should use Glacius on it to open the vault.
Cragcroft Floo Flame Vault 3
Near the Cragcroft Floo Flame, you can find up to four treasure vaults. However, these are not the easiest to find or solve.
For this vault, you’ll need to travel North from the Floo Flame. This vault will be hidden behind some vines. Cast Incendio to burn the vines and then cast Accio to push out the blocks on the walls on either side.
But once you’re inside the vault, the puzzle isn’t over. You need to find the chair in the room and cast the Transformation incantation. This will turn the chair into a knight and you will have to play a game of chess to get a checkmate. Only then can you access the treasure chest.
Cragcroft Floo Flame Vault 4
The next vault can be found just Southwest of the Cragcroft Floo Flame. The vault will be hidden behind a lock. Use the Alohomora III spell on it to break the lock and then cast Revelio. This should reveal some walls, the treasure chest being hidden behind the wall right next to the entrance.
Cragcroft Floo Flame Vault 5
After that, travel to the Southern side of the Cragcroft Floo Flame and you will find another treasure vault in Hogwarts Legacy. To actually access the vault, though, you’ll need to cast Revelio. This will reveal three stone cubes in the walls that you can push out via the Accio spell. Then, the treasure chest will get unlocked.
Cragcroft Floo Flame Vault 6
While you’re in the South of the Cragcroft Floo Flame, you’ll also want to find the second treasure vault. This vault can be found if you go South from the Floo Flame and look for the spell cube. The spell cube will need to be placed onto the platform in front of the vault door (via Accio or Wingardium Leviosa). Then, cast Glacius on the block and you will have unlocked the treasure door.
Cragcroft Shore Vault 1
The second vault can be found on a cliff that’s just Southeast of the Cragcroft Shore Floo Flame. This vault will be blocked off by spider webs. You’ll need to use Incendio on these webs to burn them and enter the vault.
Cragcroft Shore Vault 2
There is a Cragcroft Shore Floo Flame which has a treasure vault just southeast of it. To get to the Floo Flame, travel West from the Cragcroft Floo Flame and then head North for a short distance. It’s the only other Floo Flame in the area.
Once you find the treasure vault, you’ll need to unlock the door. Cast the Alohomora III spell and then walk inside. You’ll see an arch. Get to the other end of the arch and you’ll find the treasure chest right there.
Ruined Castle Vault
If you go Southeast from the Cragcroft Shore Floo Flame, you will find a ruined castle. This is a great point of interest to explore. however, you need to go East from here for the treasure vault.
The treasure vault will be inside a diving spot. Dive underneath and look for the treasure. It’s pretty straightforward to find.
Central Cragcroft Vault
You can find another vault in the very center of Cragcroftshire. You should see a giant door that you can only use Depulso on. If you can’t find it, you can also try going West from the Cragcroft Floo Flame location.
Here, you must use the Depuslo spell to break down the door. Inside the vault, you will find a spell cube that will require the spell Incendio. But before you do so, you need to use either Accio or Wingardium Leviosa to lift the spell cube and place it in front of the door. Then, use Incendio on the spell cube to open the door.
Shoreline Vault
The last treasure vault you can find in Cragcroftshire is just Southwest of the Cragcroft Floo Flame. You will find a shoreline that will also feature dugbogs. Follow the shoreline and you will come to a vault door hidden behind vines. Cast Incendio to eradicate the vines and open up your way. However, you’ll still need to push the cube on the wall out using Accio to enter the treasure vault.
Final Thoughts
Hogwarts Legacy features several treasure chests found scattered in various locations. These chests must be accessed via several methods, including burning vines and webs, using spell cubes, and playing chess.
Now that you know all about treasure vaults, it’s time to look for these vaults yourself.
