Overwatch 2 Halloween Terror Event – All Details

Our favorite spooky season as arrived and so is the exciting rewards that comes with it. The new Halloween Terror event is a sequel to old Junkenstein’s Revenge event and this time the madness has went to the next level.

Halloween Terror Event

The event begins on the 25th of October and will be live for the next 15 days till the 8th of November for you to get the most out of it.

Junkenstein’s Revenge: Wrath Of The Bride

With Overwatch 2, the fan-favourite game mode Junkenstein’s Revenge got a new story to tell as well. This time the story is focused more on the Bride of Junkenstein, played by Sombra. Completing the event leads to exciting rare rewards.

Game Mode Difficulty

Whether you are a couch player or a competitive one, Overwatch got you covered with different Game Mode Difficulty options so you can get the most out of it. The higher the difficulty, the better the rewards from the event.

Heroes

Just like the original Junkenstein’s Revenge event, you have 4 heroes to choose from who will make their way to the castle to beat down the Bride of Junkenstein.

You start by beating the waves of possessed robots and grabbing the keys to unlock the doors of the castle. In between these waves, you’ll have to fight mini-bosses like Evil Werewolf Winston or Dragon Queen Symmetra.

Upon clearing all the waves, you will reach your final objective, which will be to rescue the lord of the castle being held as a hostage by Junkenstein’s bride, who is electrocuting him for the revenge.

Here you will be able to defeat the bride and complete the mission with your friends to earn the rewards from this game mode.

Halloween Terror Event Challenges

The event comes with exciting new challenges that you can take on with your squad and get exciting rewards; this also increases the replayability of the game mode and makes you keep grinding for the best loot possible.

The Rewards

One of the major reasons to even play this game is the cosmetics that you get for your heroes, and while there are a lot of fancy charms and intros that you can get from this event, the skins are what excite us the most.

In this specific event, I saw 3 new skins that have been added that you can get while playing through the event. Kirko, Junker Queen and Sombra’s Bride Skin are the main attention seekers, while other heroes like Reaper also get a new fancy skin that makes him look like a ghost pirate.

All these skins can be brought from the shop as well, in case you don’t feel like grinding for them.

Free Log-in Rewards

Overwatch is loved by so many because it’s all about free goodies, and this trend carries on with the new events as well. When the Halloween event goes live, you get two new exciting skins for Reaper and Winston and getting them is pretty easy and straightforward.

Reaper Pirate Skin

You get this skin for free by just logging on to the game during the event goes live, and the skin will get added to your hero’s inventory.

Winston’s Werewolf Skin

To acquire this free skin you need to perform few extra steps. Fortunately, I was able to obtain it by the following steps that you can also do:

For Winston’s Werewolf skin you need to login to your twitch with you Battlenet ID and then watch the stream of your favorite streamers during the event. Once you reached the required time the skin will become a drop item.

You can then claim this reward over the twitch and then later have it in your game where the battle net ID is linked with.

Junkenstein’s Revenge: The Original

Not everyone is ready to give up the old Dr Jamison Junkenstein, and Blizzard understands that; that is why they have created a separate playlist for the original Junkentein’s Revenge event within the arcade game menu so you can play it as much as you want.

From my personal experience, I have found that all the difficulty sliders are available for this game mode as well, so you don’t feel left out from any cosmetics from the previous game during this event.

Rewards

Junkrat and Hog are best buddies, and their friendship goes even during the limited-time events as well. The Junkenstein’s Revenge offers 2 exciting for these two fan-favourite characters that you can now buy directly from the shop as well if you were saving some credits for them.

The sale is also live so you will get massive discounts on them as well.
